The basis of an efficient compliance management system is a healthy compliance culture that is firmly anchored in the company. This culture is primarily shaped by the basic attitudes and behaviour of management and by the role of the supervisory body (‘tone at the top’ and ‘tone from the top’).
The compliance culture influences the importance that employees attach to observing rules and thus also their willingness to behave in a compliant manner. At the W&W Group, the commitment to compliance is actively exemplified by the Executive Board and management in order to raise awareness of compliance within the organisation and make it an important part of business activities.

Compliance is extremely important to the W&W Group. It is the foundation on which trust in us is built. Our employees, customers and suppliers are entitled to expect us to operate within the framework of the specified regulations – in the spirit of good business practice and for the protection of all.

The overarching goal of compliance at the W&W Group is to adhere to rules or, in other words, to reduce or, ideally, avoid risks that may arise from non-compliance with binding requirements. This refers to both financial losses and damage to reputation.
Compliance with regulations not only serves to protect our companies, but also our employees, customers and suppliers. Our business activities operate within a dense network of legal and regulatory requirements. Failure to comply with this framework can sometimes significantly jeopardise the achievement of our corporate goals.
In order to reflect the particular importance of our sales organisations for the success of the W&W Group, in addition to the central compliance function, there are also decentralised compliance officers at Wüstenrot and Württembergische.
