We cannot do without these companies. Informatik GmbH forms the invisible, central and digital core of our business activities as a financial services provider. Without Service GmbH, nothing would get done in our offices. And Asset Management GmbH assumes a central function in the investment and securities business for the W&W Group.
Companies of the W&W Group
The W&W Group is a financial services group that originally emerged from the merger of the two long-established companies Wüstenrot and Württembergische. Financial planning represent the essence of the Group's business activities. Three divisions, nine brands and 17 companies are now part of this financial planning group. Together, they help their customers to fulfil their desire for personal development with the greatest possible security – each with their own contribution and all together.
The approximately six million customers of the W&W Group value the service quality, competence and customer proximity of the financial planning specialist, for whom some 13,000 people work. An extensive network of business partners, sales agents as well as brokerage and direct activities enables the W&W Group to reach more than 40 million people in Germany. The W&W Group will continue to focus on growth in future and has already established itself as Baden-Württemberg's largest independent financial service provider with the strongest customer base.

Wüstenrot & Württembergische AG (W&W AG), headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, is the W&W Group's strategic management holding company. It coordinates all activities, sets standards and manages the capital. As an individual entity, its operations are almost exclusively restricted to reinsuring the Group's insurance policies. It also renders services for the Group in various areas. W&W AG is a public company and is listed on the SDAX exchange.

Wüstenrot Bausparkasse AG
Wüstenrot Bausparkasse AG is Germany’s oldest private home loan and savings bank. It emerged from the "Gemeinschaft der Freunde" (Association of Friends), an association founded in 1921 in the village of Wüstenrot near Heilbronn. As the inventor of home loan and savings, it has already enabled millions of people to fulfil their dreams of living in their own four walls. Today, attractive savings rates and loan offers, quick lending decisions, as well as reliable service and competent field sales partners have made Wüstenrot Germany’s second largest private home loan and savings bank. Since 2017, Wüstenrot has also been the first German home loan and savings bank to engage in the active covered bond business. In addition to home loan and savings, construction financing and securities, it also offers savings and investment products.
Wüstenrot Immobilien GmbH
Wüstenrot Immobilien GmbH (WI) was founded in 1991. It is the real estate brokerage company of the Wüstenrot & Württembergische Group. With its brokers, the company is active in the sale, brokerage and commercialisation of real estate. Individual advice, holistic processing and comprehensive experience benefit the customers. In questions of construction financing, insurance and financial investments, the brokers work closely together with the field sales partners of Wüstenrot and Württembergische.
Wüstenrot Haus- und Städtebau GmbH
Wüstenrot Haus- und Städtebau GmbH is a nationwide company specialising in urban development, housing construction and property management. The company emerged from Hausbau Wüstenrot GmbH, founded in 1949, and Wüstenrot Städtebau- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, founded in 1971. As an experienced property developer, Haus- und Städtebau GmbH's purpose is to create modern, sustainable and liveable living spaces. Comprehensive, value-oriented property management rounds off the offer. In the area of urban development, communal spaces are developed together with cities and municipalities, and urban culture is created with loving attention.

Württembergische Versicherung AG
Württembergische Versicherung AG is one of the most long-established insurers in Germany. It was founded in 1828 as the "Württembergische Privat-Feuer-Versicherungs-Gesellschaft", making it the oldest private property insurance company in Southern Germany. Today, the company offers customised property and casualty insurance products. The wide range of products and its efficient general agencies make Württembergische Versicherung one of the largest German property and casualty insurers.
Württembergische Lebensversicherung AG
Württembergische Lebensversicherung AG was founded in 1833 as the "Allgemeine Rentenanstalt zu Stuttgart" and was the first company in Germany to offer pension schemes. It has been operating under its current name and under the Württembergische brand since 1991. Today, the company offers a wide range of products from classic and unit-linked life and pension insurance, Riester and basic pensions, training and occupational disability insurance, company pension schemes and financing. Thanks to this product diversity and the high service quality, the company is one of the largest life insurers in Germany.
Württembergische Krankenversicherung AG
In 1999, Württembergische Krankenversicherung AG in Stuttgart commenced business operations and completed the insurance range of the W&W Group in the Insurance division. The company offers health and long-term care insurance for employees and the self-employed, as well as full and supplementary health insurance, daily hospital allowance insurance, foreign health insurance and optional tariffs for those with statutory health insurance.
ARA Pensionskasse AG
ARA Pensionskasse AG is a subsidiary of Württembergische Lebensversicherung AG. It offers both classic and unit-linked products for the company pension scheme market. ARA has been active as a pension fund in the W&W Group since 2002.
Württembergische Vertriebspartner GmbH
Württembergische Vertriebspartner GmbH has been operating on the broker market on behalf of Württembergische Versicherung since 2007. It offers free and independent brokers a comprehensive product range in the areas of personal and property and casualty insurance as well as interesting bundled products, professional sales support and powerful web portals for online business transactions.
The new digital activities of the W&W Group have been bundled in the brandpool division since 2018. It is also dedicated to financial planning and invests in innovative, digital business models in the areas of housing, finance, health, family, education and mobility. W&W brandpool GmbH
An independent company, W&W brandpool GmbH, was founded in May 2018 for the third division of the W&W Group. This subsidiary will drive the development of new products and services and coordinate them within the Group. The activities of W&W brandpool are helping to support and drive W&W’s growth course. In addition, they contribute to more diverse customer interfaces, more agility, speed and customer-oriented solutions in the W&W Group.
Adam Riese GmbH
Adam Riese is the digital insurance brand of the W&W Group. The company was founded in October 2017 in Stuttgart as a response to changing customer behaviour and the possibilities of digitalisation.
Simple products of high quality, consistently priced according to demand and risk, are aimed at customers who compare prices and products via brokers or even online. What began with private liability insurance as the first product will be consistently supplemented by successive product launches. For example, legal expenses insurance, household contents insurance and commercial liability insurance are now also available.
treefin GmbH, based in Munich, was founded in 2014 and has been operating the free app "treefin – Mein Finanzassistent" since 2015.
The W&W Group has been the majority owner since 2017. treefin offers customers a clear and simple picture of their entire financial situation, consisting of the three pillars accounts/banking, insurance and investments. An intelligent data analysis automatically detects gaps in coverage and pensions. For customers within the W&W Group, the "FinanzGuide" app, a customised version of the digital financial assistant, has been in use since the beginning of 2018.
Other companies, brands and apps
W&W brandpool is also home to several other companies, spin-offs and apps. For instance, Keleya, an app to support a healthy pregnancy and birth, has been in operation since 2017. The second platform, Kinderheldin, in which the W&W Group has been involved since January 2019, also focuses on financial planning. Kinderheldin positions itself as a digital consulting service by experienced midwives for expectant mothers and parents of babies.
